Don’t sit still

When Venu Rao retired from his technology job at Spring Branch ISD in December 2016, his wife Elsie Rao had their 2017 travel plans laid out with a combo of tours and cruises. Five weeks in India started in January, and from April to July they went around the world (Barcelona to Shanghai, Singapore to New York) in 79 days. October through November, they were in India again, plus Australia and New Zealand. The biggest delight was the beauty of the Milford Sound in New Zealand, with waterfalls, walruses and seals. Before you say, “Where in the World are Venu & Elsie?” it looks like 2018 starts with a gamble in Vegas.
