A Texas-style and Texas-sized party of 600 celebrated the 23rd anny of The Social Book calendar, packed full of the upcoming year’s charity events. Owners Scott Evans, Jeff Henry and Sami Shbeeb honored the 2018 “Houston Treasures,” David Adickes, Frank Billingsley, Marie Bosarge, Gayla Gardner, Carmen and Harry “Butch” Mach III, Dr. David Poplack, Rachel Regan, Cyndy Garza Roberts, Susan Sarofim, Virginia Steppe, Wessel and Henry J.N. “Kitch” Taub, and Leticia and Steve Trauber. Among the 11 Texas food “corrals” and metal sculptures of boots and cacti, magician Ben Jackson turned $1 bills into $100s to fascinate many, including Bill and Joann Crassas, Jacqueline and Adam Smooke, Joann Petersen, Jane Page Crump, Warner Roberts, Helen Perry, Charity O’Connell, Sydney Faust and Susan and Dick Hansen.
