W is for win

The Emery/Weiner School’s seventh-grade Blue basketball team (pictured) gathered to celebrate their title as Greater Houston Athletic Conference (GHAC) champs. The Jaguars were undefeated for the season and finished with a 40-14 victory over St. Mark’s. The seventh graders were strong all season, but played their best basketball during the final four games, including a close win over rival Trafton Academy and big wins over Ft. Bend Christian and Awty International School. Throughout the season, center Ryan Dorfman was the leading scorer and rebounder.
