Honorary chairs Doris and Terry Looper (pictured), along with 250 more Young Life supporters, gathered at River Oaks Country Club for the Sharing Hope with the Next Generation gala. The other honorary chairs were Patsy and Malcolm Bailey, Linda and Sam Bradshaw, Patti and Vince Elliott, Lee and Grant Fortney, Carol and Dick Harris, Jerri and Carl Pfiffner, and Kim and Chuck Watson. The guest speaker was pastor, consultant, speaker and author Efrem Smith. Over $600,000 was raised from the event, which will benefit Young Life Greater Houston Region multiethnic ministries. The ministries focus on reaching kids in diverse communities and those in under-resourced areas, including Houston's Third and Fifth Wards.
