Elite gymnasts
After recently advancing from Level 5, gymnasts from H-Town Elite (pictured) placed first in Level 6 at Chow's Challenge in Galveston. The team score of 115.8 helped them finish the season as the third-ranked L6 team in the country (and the only L6 team in Texas with a top-10 score). Along with their teammates, Kairey Marks, Caroline Wood, Scarlett Dubose, Elena Pipkin, Rebecca Priske and Amelia Williams (pictured, from left) train year-round, and are now preparing for next season’s Level 7 competition. The girls are in the gym 16-plus hours each week, in addition to travelling throughout the state for meets, and most have been competitive gymnasts for about five years.
