The Hunters Creek Garden Club Friendship Party was held at Rachel Messina and Victor Yang’s home. The Hunters Creek Garden Club Friendship Party was held at Rachel Messina and Victor Yang’s home. The women usually wear flavors of red to celebrate Valentine’s and bring a part of the meal. The husbands, who usually only know each other at this party, try to remember each other’s names and have great discussions about wine, the stock market and sports. In the crowd were Diane and Philip Cimo, Geetha and George Mammen, Leslie and Tom Manning, Sally and Bill Slick, Miyuki and Koichi Kodama, Amy and Doug Miers, Lee and Jack Hunnell, Mary and Jim Gosnell, and Mike Brier and yours truly. Rachel’s granddaughter, Avery Weeks, made an appearance.
