More than 450 supporters of The Menninger Clinic, including (pictured, from left) Rob Wilson III, Bess Wilson, Barbara Robertson and Corby Robertson Jr., filled the ballroom of The Westin Galleria for the clinic’s annual Signature Luncheon. The luncheon was chaired by foundation board member Kathy Neblett and honored The Hamill Foundation, established to assist people with disabilities or facing other challenges. The luncheon featured actor Sean Astin, of The Lord of the Rings and Stranger Things. Astin spoke to the crowd about his mother Patty Duke’s struggle with bipolar disorder and her work as a mental-health advocate. The clinic works to reduce stigma and alleviate suffering caused by mental illness.
