Champs from the start
In their very first baseball tournament as a team, the Spring Branch Warriors 7U tournament team (pictured) won it all. The boys had an undefeated weekend with five wins, including beating the No. 1 team in the state, twice. The Warriors are a team of rising second-grade boys, who have never played together, representing six different schools. The rookie champs are (top row, from left) coaches Clint Sandidge, Nathan Stedham, Keith Ahrens and Bo Pettit; (bottom row, from left) Street Stedham, Grant Pinion, Austin Pettit, Hudson Kirk, Jay Squillante, Wade Gring, Nate Sandidge, Parker Sloan, Keegan Ahrens and JR Befort; not pictured: coach Jeff Befort.
