The FORGE for Families, an urban ministry for families located in the Third Ward, held its annual Game Changer luncheon at the Junior League of Houston’s ballroom. FORGE offers after-school enrichment programs for kids from kindergarten to eighth grade. Pictured (from left) are co-chair Lolly Erwin, Dr. Rick Rigsby and co-chair Christiana McConn. Co-chairs for this year’s luncheon were also Melissa and Matt Morris and Gabrielle and Rallin Welch, along with the 2018 host committee. This year’s “change agent” award recipient was longtime friend of The FORGE and former district attorney, Carol S. Vance. Also, the first-ever “youngest change agent” award went to Charles Richard Stasney. Charlie is the 8-year-old son of Spencer and Allison Stasney. The change award is given to an individual who sees a need for change and gathers resources and knowledge to help make an impact.
