Magnificent garden
Kathy Cire wrote The Magnificent Garden, a children’s book, in honor of her niece’s daughter, Mary Caroline Cowden, who passed away a week before her first birthday. Mary Caroline had contracted a non-vaccine strain of meningitis. The book encourages families to find joy even when facing hardships. Kathy, a retired St. Francis Episcopal School teacher, had always dreamed of writing a children’s book, and wrote and illustrated the book in Mary Caroline’s memory. Kathy’s friends, (pictured, top row, from left) Donna Sample, Christiana McConn, Stephanie Tucker; (bottom row) author Kathy Cire and Liz Burke, hosted a book signing for The Magnificent Garden at the home of Stephanie and Brad Tucker. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to The Brookwood Community. The Magnificent Garden can be found on Amazon.
