Derek and Ellen Thomas Levine don’t want to know what gender the future Levine baby will be, so guests were invited to shower them with yellow gifts. The baby-shower lunch for 35 friends at Susan Winkler’s had a little fun incorporated when Derek arrived. He and Ellen sat back-to-back and raised her shoe or his shoe (they each had one of each) to see who would raise the baby the best. One answer they agreed on was that future grandmother Paulette Levine would spoil the child the most. Hostesses included Susan Winkler, Barbara Macklin, Marcia Friedman, Nancy Gross, Joyce Fadem, Eileen Barrett, Andi Collins, Joan Lebow, Rhonda Bass, Jean Robin and Claire Daum.
