Frankenstein hovered at the door but did not keep the 40 Halloween enthusiasts from Joni and John Zavitsanos’ annual Halloween block party, which included more adults than children. Joni, in a magnificent sweater with a blinged-out skull, welcomed neighbors to enjoy comfort food and libations. Guests kept dry in the tented patio as dinosaurs Jordan Warnica, Lauren Davis, Sloane Secrest and Riley Warnica and mermaid Harriet Maslin made quick appearances before disappearing for trick or treating. Relishing the gumbo were Meg and Bob Guldner, Nancy and Joe Smith, Paul and Amanda Finnett, Dana and John Applegate, Shanoop and Sandi Kothari, Penny and William Maslin, Kim and James Warnica, Carol and Robert Whilden, Ann and Bert Adkins, Felicia and Bert Baker, Linda and Steve Schweitzer, Rob Scheinerman, Suzanne Reyes, Anthony Tarantino as a hippy and Gaby Aparicio as a pink lady.
