Honorees were Houston Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni, his wife Laurel, and Marvin Odum, appointed by Mayor Sylvester Turner as chief recovery officer for Houston and the Greater Houston Community Foundation. Chairs were Brigitte Kalai, Alicia Smith and Hallie Vanderhider, and honorary chairs were Jennifer and David Ducote, Paige and Tilman Fertitta, Joanne King Herring, Hannah and Cal McNair, Sydney and Jeff Shellebarger, Leticia and Stephen Trauber and Margaret Alkek Williams. Emcee was Deborah Duncan. The evening raised $900,000 for SBP, a disaster-recovery nonprofit.
