Jillian Wright, a senior at Second Baptist School, is competing in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Student of the Year Campaign. She’s leading Team Defy, aiming to defy the odds of cancer. Several of Jillian’s relatives have gone through cancer, and she says she wants to see an end to the grief and pain. Her team hosted an art show in January and a spirit night at Kendra Scott at CityCentre, plus other fundraising events through March 1.
