Parisian winter wonderland
Houston Symphony’s youngest supporters and their families joined chair Ishwaria Subbiah at River Oaks Country Club for the Houston Symphony’s 2019 Magical Musical Morning: Parisian Holiday. More than 250 enjoyed an engaging performance by the Houston Symphony Community-Embedded Musicians and a buffet of croissant breakfast sandwiches, mini quiches, French pastries and holiday sugar cookies. Honorary chairs were Viviana and David Denechaud. The children enjoyed activities underwritten by City ArtWorks and Betty and Jesse Tutor, as well as photos with Santa, a balloon artist and the always-popular Instrument Petting Zoo. The event raised more than $56,000 for the symphony’s Education and Community Engagement Programming.
