Glenda Waldman was playing mah jongg with friends four days before New Year’s Day when the subject came up that there was nothing going on Jan 1. Since Glenda and Terry Waldman knew their son Seth was getting engaged on New Year’s Eve to Ilana Mizrahi, they decided to throw a Pop Up Potluck Lunch the next day. About 70 friends turned up to start the new year with black-eyed peas. Linda and Brian Shapiro and Dena and Steve Smolin were all grins.
