More than 150 gathered at the Houstonian to raise funds for The Periwinkle Foundation during the 24th Annual Periwinkle Cycle presented by White Oak Energy. The morning spin-a-thon raised $136,000 for the foundation’s camps, arts and survivor programs for Texas Children’s Hospital patients with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Co-chairs were Dr. Mary Nell Boone Suell and Kelley Elliott. A DJ provided the soundtrack as participants, including William Gaunt (pictured), pedaled through four 30-minute heats.
