Girls on the 10U Warriors soccer team (pictured) are SBMSA champs. The Warriors defeated the Angels, 3-2, in the championship game, at the end of the double-elimination playoff season. It was a tough game, against a team that was undefeated during the regular season. The Warriors were down 0-2 at halftime, but came back to win. Coaches Gerardo Kalife and Jamie Walsh challenged the girls to not allow any goals for the entire season. They had a great regular season, and allowed only 12 goals, combined, for all of the games. During the first three rounds of the playoffs, the Warriors met their coaches’ challenge with three shutout wins.
