Lacy, age 8

My name is Lacy, and I am one of four Westies in a two-house range on my street. I was “adopted” at 4 months old and am so grateful to my parents for giving me a forever home. I am a great watchdog, and you can often see me in the upstairs window, as I sit on “my” ottoman and bark at other dogs. I am especially protective of my mom and can growl at other dogs on our walks. Some dogs even cross the street when I am coming. My mom and I love long walks, so we are a perfect fit. My parents say I am their best hunting dog ever. I catch lizards and bugs, but my favorite quarry are mice, on our ranch in South Texas. I am relentless in my pursuit of them, and have caught four so far. I’m keeping the ranch safe, too.
