The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s annual 5k Run/Walk, Sprint for Life, will take place May 4 in the Texas Medical Center. Kim Podraza (pictured) is event chair and an ovarian cancer survivor and advocate. Honorary co-chairs are Kelli Blanton and Eddy Scurlock Blanton Sr., Kimberly Davis Sperling and Gayle Goodman. Survivors and supporters come together on race day to raise funds for research and increase awareness about ovarian cancer. See sprintforlife.com.
