HISD hosted a first district University Interscholastic League competition at Carnegie Vanguard High School. Six hundred students from 34 local schools competed in subjects ranging from math and spelling to reading and writing. Condit Elementary won 60 individual trophies and 17 team trophies, resulting in an overall First Place Team Sweepstakes Award. This was Condit’s fourth first-place UIL win this year.
