Kona and Justice
My brother Justice (left) and I are 3-year-old white Labradors from the same litter, and we live on one of the idyllic courtyards of Stanmore Drive in River Oaks. Every day, we sit in our front windows staring longingly across the courtyard, hoping for a sighting. When we spot each other, we go nuts. To appease us, our owners have developed a system – after a quick text exchange, they deposit us in my dog run for a playdate. We also “arrange” our own playdates. If either of our owners accidentally leaves a door or gate open, we head straight to each other’s houses. Both of us received extensive obedience training at Pecan Hills Kennels, but all decorum vanishes at playtime – with Justice usually dominating me, despite the fact that I’m a little plumper. Since our Canadian births, we have been each other’s favorite littermates. We flew to Houston in the same crate and have sustained our brotherly love!
