When you think of the Cannes Film Festival and all the sparkle, you may not realize The Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) raises money to develop a cure for HIV. Hallie Vanderhider was invited to experience the 26th annual amfAR Gala Cannes that raised $15 million. She saw a performance by Mariah Carey and schmoozed with Leo DiCaprio, Andie McDowell, Eva Longoria, the Jenners, Chris Tucker, Tom Jones and Christoph Waltz. Hallie shone like a star in her gowns by Zuhair Murad and, at the closing ceremony, Elie Saab. To date, this star-studded event, like our Oscars, has raised more than $235 million for life-saving research programs.
