Local grads wed

Allyson Gelman and Charles Horvilleur were married at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort with the Pacific Ocean providing a beautiful backdrop. Allyson met Charles over 10 years ago when they were sophomores in college. The two were in a long-distance relationship through most of their college years. They spent a lot of time talking and traveling all over the world. Charles proposed during a trip to Sedona, Ariz. Allyson wanted a destination wedding – somewhere in the U.S. that had mountains and blue water – and they decided Santa Barbara, Calif., was a perfect fit. The interfaith ceremony included traditions from Allyson’s Jewish faith and Charles’ Catholic faith. On their honeymoon, the couple visited Paris, South Africa and Amsterdam. A month after their first wedding, they had a second Catholic wedding at St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
