Bert Baker threw a New Orleans-style 60th birthday party at home for his wife, Felicia. A jazz band got 60 partiers in the dancing mood on the floor installed in the backyard among the towering trees, as a Southern dinner was served. Shreveport nieces threw beads from the balcony as the servers brought out two cakes with candles. It was a family-involved fete as their son Austin helped set up while daughters Dahlgren decorated with an over-the-top flowered background and peony table decor and Catherine Baker organized the delicious desserts. The good times rolled quite happily along.
