Tarini Kumar took the stage at the Stafford Civic Center for her Bharatanatyam Arangetram, a graduation performance for a trained Indian classical dancer. Friends and family, including parents Supriya Ramanathan and Prem Kumar and sisters Chandni Kumar and Roshni Kumar, gathered to celebrate the milestone. Tarini started learning classical Indian dance when she was 4 years old, and she has continued training for more than 15 years. A graduate of Bellaire High School and a current student in The University of Texas Plan II Honor Program, Tarini has performed at temples and functions in Houston, as well as in India and Canada.
