William McCarthy said Aug. 3 was truly a day of pure bliss after he married his bride Taylor Gossett. They met almost three years ago in the busy Washington Avenue area among peers, with a proposal on a cruise with friends. The wedding was held at the Carriage House with a reception at the Houston Country Club. Parents of the couple, Keith and Meredith McCarthy and Bill and Heather Gossett, wished them well as they saw them fly off to their honeymoon. They were pampered with private drivers and tour guides in Madrid, Rome and Florence and had a beach day in Barcelona. Their friends were waiting for them when they returned to continue the party.
