Prudence
They call me Prudence (as in “Dear Prudence” – who knows, right?). I live on Dartmouth Avenue with a great family. There were four humans but only two now. I think someone said something about college? I don’t know about that. I’m a social animal and am mostly concerned with head rubs, meals served on time and no closed doors. That’s rude, isn’t it? My goal is to get in the girl’s room and lay on her bed. I can open the door by myself and do it most of the time. I remain indoors at all times, but I love to be held up high and outside to see all the “wildlife.” There is an outside cat who looks like me and comes by sometimes. The humans think it’s funny when we are nose to nose, but I could not be bothered. I really hate it when I see suitcases – that means they are all about to leave me.
