Homer
Hi. My name is Homer, but my family calls me “Kitty.” My story begins in Lawrence, Kansas, where I lived with my first family. Unfortunately, I have a sensitive stomach, and the humans grew tired of cleaning up after me. I ended up at Great Plains Animal Shelter and spent over 400 days there! Through Facebook, my forever family in Houston learned about my lengthy stay at the shelter and agreed to adopt me. My journey from Kansas to Houston was eventful, including a flat tire, a missed flight and an unexpected stay in a hotel. I finally arrived and love my new family and home. I have become a huge Astros fan and watch nearly every game on TV. I am also an avid fan of the Tennis Channel and of watching the squirrels and lizards in my backyard. As another famous Kansan once said, “There’s no place like home!”
