Over 40 guests celebrated Barbara and Jay Files’ 40th wedding anniversary at Houston Country Club on Oct. 6, the date they married on in 1979. There were cocktails, dinner and dancing to Buzz and the Blue Cats from Austin. Band leader Scott “Buzz” Krippel is a native Houstonian and classically trained musician from The University of Texas. Family members and Memorial friends, mostly from their neighborhood, toasted them. Barbara says, “All I can say is that we all turned into 12 year olds!”
