Students from Condit Elementary participated in HISD’s first University Scholastic League (UIL) Competition, at Welch Middle School. Students competed in subjects ranging from writing and spelling to math and impromptu speaking. Out of 500 students from 17 schools, Condit brought home the first-place sweepstakes award. It also won team awards in spelling and number sense. Condit’s UIL coordinator is parent Amy Hassan.
