Aggies for the win
The Southwest Football League’s (SFL) Aggies (pictured) won the Junior Tackle championship with a 14-6 win over the Longhorns. After a winning regular season, the fifth- and sixth-grade Aggies advanced through the playoffs to reach the final game. Ford McCauley had a 12-yard touchdown in the first quarter, followed by a 47-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Cameron McNulty had 5 tackles for loss and was a standout on defense all night. Other notable plays were Tripp McCarty’s 12-yard reception for a fourth-down conversion and Sloan Rippstein’s interception in the final minute.
