Laurie Sorsby was the hostess with holiday mostess to open her home for the Memorial Drive Garden Club holiday luncheon. Tables were decorated in gold and silver and set throughout the house for 60 festive members to gather. A little longhaired chihuahua, Angel, dressed in red plaid, came in a member’s purse and spread cheer by posing in laps belonging to Susanna Jeu, Jenny Blanc and Sandy Wilkens. Also in red plaid were Barbara Fields, Barbara Upchurch, Connie Dalton and Julie Brann. After president Jana Stifel welcomed and blessed the group, the main course arrived, catered by Chapelwood’s Chef Zee. Melanie Whatley, hospitality chair, coordinated the food hostesses: Nora Ackerley, Elizabeth Nelson-Davila, Judy Glasford, Laurie Sorsby, Susanna Jeu, Susan Farmer, Roz Cooley, Susan Braden, Katherine Bodron, Rohan Baumgartner and hospitality co-chair Suzy Godwin.
