JDRF Houston Gulf Coast Chapter kicked off its annual Promise Ball gala at the home of Patty and Fred Hagans. Guests toasted in anticipation of the upcoming gala, May 2 at the Hilton Americas-Houston. Ball chairs Shannon Hunter and William G. Hagans shared details about the auction items that will be available, receiving a timely bark from their dog, Lola, an auction dog from the 2017 gala. William shared personal reasons for involvement, including the effect the disease has had on him since he was 12, and the support he’s received from his friend and co-chair, Ernest R. Hunter II.
