For the second year in a row, the eighth-grade girls’ soccer team at Duchesne Academy (pictured) won the Houston Junior Preparatory Conference championship. The victory marks the first time in school history for the team to win back-to-back championships. Coming off of a strong regular season, the girls wrapped things up with a 4-1 win over Annunciation Orthodox School, with goals scored by Julia Harfenist, Olivia Mafrige and Karoline Joe. During the course of the season, the team scored 92 goals and only allowed 10.
