GIFT FOR ALL Gary Blumberg’s family and friends donated a bench in Buffalo Bayou Park as a 70th birthday present for Gary, here with wife Bonnie.
A bench in Buffalo Bayou Park is a 70th birthday gift for Gary Blumberg given by friends and family. Gary walks Daisy, a 12-year-old Golden Retriever, there every morning and Bonnie, his wife, joins him on the weekends with Bucky, a Corgi mix. Bonnie gave Gary a surprise family reunion at the Hyatt Lost Pines in Bastrop the week before his 70th birthday as it was also their 20th anniversary. He thought it was just an anniversary getaway, but family joined in from New York, New Jersey, Denver, and Dallas. They dined outside with a campfire to make s’mores Friday and a video and dinner Saturday night. So now when Gary takes a pause on his bench during his daily jaunt he will have s’more to reflect on.
