It was all smiles and cheers on the court when the Memorial Middle School eighth-grade volleyball team (pictured) won the district championship. At the end of the match against Spring Branch Middle School, the MMS players ran from the bench onto the court to celebrate together as district champs. The final match was a solid victory for the Eagles and a great way to wrap up the team’s winning season. The big winners are Emma Dunwoody, Abby Anderson, Chloe Popkin, Payton Long, Sonia Rio, Sophie Corbeil, Meryl Schwertner, Deveny Gilmore, Brooke Maddox, Addy Lanning and coach Erin Wagoner.
