Laugh the night away
The Broach Foundation for Brain Cancer Research will host its 9th annual Stand-Up for Brain Cancer Gala on Thurs., Nov. 19 (rescheduled from April 16) at River Oaks Country Club. This year’s featured comedian will be Mike Vecchione, who has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Comedy Central and more. The Broach Foundation was established in honor of James Broach who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer in 2011. Despite difficult treatments, James knew he wanted to make a difference in the fight to cure brain cancer. Along with his wife, Jamie, he established The Broach Foundation to raise funds and awareness for adult brain cancer research. Pictured are Jeff and Jamie Broach Byrd. See thebroachfoundation.org.
