The St. Anne Catholic School’s men’s varsity basketball team (pictured) wrapped up a great season in the Galveston-Houston Catholic Athletic Association (GHCAA). The seventh- and eighth-grade boys overcame a major hurdle as they played without a home gym this season. Construction relocated their games to visiting schools’ gyms, leaving the team without home-court advantage. Despite always being the visiting team, St. Anne came within one win of qualifying for the GHCAA playoffs. The varsity players are (top row, from left) Nolan Hughes, David Neason, Luke Landmesser; (bottom row, from left) Landon Donnelly, Crockett Ruffeno, Tripp Arnold, Nico Gleason and Jake Mendenhall.
