Spring Branch Education Foundation board members Scooter Hicks (pictured, on left) and Jay Sartain (on right) are looking forward to the 24th annual SBEF Golf Classic slated for Oct. 25 at the BlackHorse Golf Club in Cypress. All proceeds benefit Spring Branch ISD’s 35,000 students through education-enhancing grants and scholarships. Rescheduled from April due to the pandemic, the tournament is a four-player team scramble and includes a raffle, mulligans, a sponsored drive for scholarships and contests for putting, longest drive and ball closest to the hole. Volunteers helping plan the fundraiser are Andrea Bishop, Joe Blasi, Warren Matthews, Roy Montalbano, Paul Moreton, Colby Mueck, Rick Ngo, Ted Nowak, Ron Nunley, Lisa Schwartz, Warren Sloan, Suzanne Stiles, Cece Thompson, Katy Thorn, Jeff Treadway and Brooke Kato.
