Rotary for Second Servings
The Rotary Club of West U’s annual Golf Tournament fundraiser was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic – and then, on the scheduled day, cancelled due to inclement weather. Despite these challenges, club members raised $32,000, which will go toward Second Servings of Houston. The golfers received a voucher to play at a future date. Pictured are (from left) founder and president of Second Servings Barbara Bronstein, West U Rotary member Bob Geary, West U Rotary member Cecile Schutter, West U Rotary member Geoff Lanceley, and West U Rotary member and food rescue driver John Thornton in front of Second Servings’ fourth refrigerated van. See secondservingshouston.org to learn more about how the nonprofit is helping, especially during the coronavirus, and see www.westurotary.org to learn more about upcoming happenings.
