Successful summer

The Houston Royals Blue 11U select team (pictured) wrapped up a summer of tournaments. The team played in the PG Double Play Classic, Line Drive Classic, 1st Annual Splash Bash and Summer Kickoff tournaments. Strengths of the team that carried them through the season included turning double plays, pick-offs, diving catches and 3-pitch innings. Most of the boys have been together for five years, and they have welcomed new players over the last few seasons. Heading into the fall, the team plans to play every other weekend through early December.
