Alabama-tournament champs
The Houston Colt .45s tournament baseball team (pictured) competed in the USSSA Global World Series, 10U Open division, in Gulf Shores, Ala. Boys on the team also play for West University and Bellaire Little Leagues. The team won the championship by outscoring their opponents 32-4 with dominant pitching, flawless fielding and great hitting throughout the batting order. “This team showcased the strengths they have been working really hard to build all year. It was tremendously satisfying watching these boys put a punctuation mark on a dominant season where they went 48-13,” said manager Jack Behan. The winning Colt .45s are (bottom row, from left) Reed Fowler, Henry Evans, Max Warner, Rocky Zeve, Michael Principe, Rush Armstrong, Kyle Behan, Jack Bresnahan, Luis Arcaya, Chase Mould and Cole Stagg, with (top row, from left) coaches Tucker Fowler and Jack Behan.
