Because of coronavirus, the Immunization Partnership’s 11th annual Community Immunity Luncheon was presented in a virtual format. Julie Davidson and Allison Connally (pictured, from left, at a past event) chaired the luncheon, raising more than $140,000 to support vaccine-awareness programs. Ethan Lindenberger spoke about his decision to bring himself up to date on vaccinations after his 18th birthday, against his mother’s objections. He was interviewed by political analyst Mustafa Tameez. Last year, Ethan testified before a Senate committee and then spoke at a United Nations event about false claims being made about vaccines. At the event, Community Health Choice was recognized with the Ralph D. Feigin, MD Award for Excellence, and Jacquelyn Cox with the John R. Boettiger, Jr. Award for Community Partnership. Allison Winnike, president and CEO of The Immunization Partnership, spoke about coronavirus-vaccine development. See immunizeusa.org.
