Summer softball success

Riley Miller, Lauren Magid, Elliot Loper and Kiran Kyham (pictured, from left) wrapped up a successful softball tournament. The West University Softball Association (WUSA) 12U Tempest team had a great tournament season with the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA). The season looked different than normal, but the coaches and girls worked together to make it work, and WUSA took steps to ensure everyone’s safety. All of the players wore masks while in the dugout, and the dugouts got some extra cleaning after each game. Head coach Jeremy Monthy and assistant coaches Joseph Hebert, Brad Loper and Sybil Starling led the effort for the team: Melanie Chen, Lauren Hebert, Kiran Kyham, Remmie Leschber, Elliot Loper, Lauren Magid, Alexandra Maldonado, Katelyn McCollum, Riley Miller, Talulah Monthy, Margot Royston and Isabella Starling.
