Runners from St. Vincent de Paul School (pictured) started off a successful season at the 3rd Annual Hay Bale Cross Country meet at Nottingham Park. The team continued to compete at several additional meets, consistently placing in the top five spots. Team standouts eighth grader Benjamin Seaworth and fifth grader Ceci Bass had top finishes at the meet. Benjamin ran 3,000 meters in 12:01, finishing 16th out of 181 runners, and Ceci placed first in her age group in the 3,000-meter run.
