Violet, age 17

Meow and hello! I’m Violet. I was born on the 13th Friday of the year. This makes me a very lucky black cat. My luck began when my big human came to the shelter. She was looking for a kitten, but I was wearing a violet collar. My big human had just graduated from LSU, so I got to geaux home! Before long, my human added a big boy human and a baby girl human to the apartment. Then the apartment became a house and another house. With each change came lots of love and petting. At 17 years old, I’m no kitten anymore. The baby girl human is getting so big, but she still says I’m her kitty and the best cat in the house. I don’t tell her I’m the only cat. She’ll figure it out someday. I just enjoy being the luckiest cat in the world.
