Jack, Ellie, Liam and Stephen Jacobson
The annual Fathers & Flashlights tradition, which welcomes West U and Southside neighbors to camp out under the stars each fall, looked different this year due to Covid-19. Rather than camping together on the baseball fields, residents were encouraged to camp at home to honor the spirit of the popular community event. Host families were Sami and Jud Morrison, Michelle and Doug Huth, and Christine and Owen Parker. Fathers & Flashlights “Camp at Home” 2020 helped raise more than $24,000 for West U parks. Plans are already in the works to bring back Fathers & Flashlights in 2021. Pictured (from left) are Jack, Ellie, Liam and Stephen Jacobson camping out in their yard.
