Sam Bursten and Sarah Rohan (pictured, from left) were married in Sam’s family home on Braeburn Drive. The couple met when Sam’s mother, Vicki Bursten, and Sarah’s aunt, Amy Kalmin, set them up. According to the newlyweds, they were both hesitant to meet because they had each already endured many other family set-ups. This time, the families got it right. Rabbi Ari Perl, who also presided over Sarah’s Bat Mitzvah, officiated the ceremony, and the new couple danced and celebrated with close family and friends at a reception coordinated by Caplan Miller Events. After the ceremony, Sarah and Sam took a mini-moon at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee, and hope to eventually make it to South Africa for the safari honeymoon they originally planned. They consider themselves nomads for the time being, as both of their offices in New York City are closed during the pandemic. For now, they are living in Sam’s family’s vacation home in Snowmass, Colorado, and will return to New York when Manhattan reopens.
