Wilchester Women Give Back

Wilchester Women Give Back, a neighborhood community-service group, made the holidays extra special for first responders at Fire Station 57. Located between the Wilchester and Wilchester West neighborhoods, Fire Station 57 on Memorial Drive is a landmark in west Memorial. To show their appreciation for everything the firefighters do for the neighborhood, Wilchester Women Give Back, along with Wendy Swantkowski and Melissa Gibbons, coordinated the collection and delivery of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day meals. The group also raised more than $4,000 to purchase a treadmill, office chairs, and a television for Fire Station 57, and each firefighter shift received an HEB gift card. The neighbors and first responders are (pictured, from left) senior Capt. Nancy Tollet, firefighter David Avalos, Jack Virden, Debra Horton, Capt. Ryan Black, Michael Stanton, Ben Stanton, Brandi Stanton, Sam Stanton, Capt. Michael Nicoletti, Simona McKey, Wendy Swantkowski, Austin Swantkowski, Zachary Moore, Kerry Moore, and firefighter Anthony Arocha.
